We are currently looking for papers for the Railway Archaeology Society
journal, which we aim to publish twice a year including in electronic
format. Papers should be on aspects of Railway Archaeology mainly to do
with the various constructs from tracks to buildings rather than locomotives
and rolling stock, but these may be accepted under certain circumstances -
please enquire if unsure.
Articles are also required for the Railway Archaeology Society magazine.
These should be more public-orientated (think Current Archaeology!). Site
reports, field-walking, railway walks, interesting survivals are all of
interest, as are book reviews, and looks at heritage railways. Again, the
emphasis should be on the buildings, etc rather than locomotives - there are
more than enough heritage railway publications that spotlight locomotives
and rolling stock.
