The Earth Science Teachers' Association is holding a workshop on
Earth System Science on Friday 7th September 2001, preceding their
annual conference, at Kingston University .

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the nature of the
Earth System Science approach to learning and teaching and to share
some examples of practice from the UK and the US (where the approach
has been adopted quite extensively).

We are currently looking for examples of the use of this approach in
the UK. If you have adopted this either in single modules or your
entire curriculum and are interested in sharing your experiences
please get in contact with me as soon as possible.

The event will also include a short meeting to discuss the
development of an Earth Science HE group in association with LTSN
Subject Centre for Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences.
