I don't know if the wired magazine is a serious magazine or not, however, this article by John Hockenberry is in part
" funny" but disturbing if taken seriously, or repeated elsewhere. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.08/assist_pr.html
One of my concern regarding implications about technology and disability is that if taken too far, it can replace the old misconception that the medical model had about changing the individual physiology or that it was desirable to change the physiology to make a person "acceptable" therefore, some may say that there would be no need to make changes to environment.
I am not sure where John Hockenberry disability politics are at I do see him on dateline in the U.S his work like others on that show is OK,
any though on it?
