LECTURESHIP IN PHILOSOPHY OF COGNITIVE SCIENCE

(Fixed term for 21 months, 1 October 2001 to 1 July 2003)
£18,731 - £23,256 or £24,227 to £30,967 pa
Applications are invited for a fixed-term lectureship in Philosophy in
the School of Cognitive and Computing Sciences. This post has
become available due to Dr Ronald Chrisley taking up a 21 month
Leverhulme Research Fellowship. The holder of the lectureship will be
responsible for organising and teaching on the School's successful and
unique MA programme in the Philosophy of Cognitive Science, as
well as undertaking some undergraduate teaching and administrative
duties.
Candidates for the position should have professional skills and
publications in the philosophy of cognitive science. An ability to
teach first year general cognitive science (and, to a lesser extent,
introductory logic) would be helpful.
