I have to agree with John Dufton. Sometimes when subscapularis becomes tight
it tightens up the glenohumeral joint capsule which will cause increased
movement in the scapulothoracic joint as a compensation to allow for the
normal range of movement. You will therefore observe normal ROM with
excessive scapular winging. I would try to loosen of the subscapularis. It
is worth a try.
