italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Care colleghe, cari colleghi,
è una domanda di araldica che oggi mi spinge a rivolgermi ai membri di
questa lista. Occupandomi di stemmi italiani monumentali, cerco già da tempo
il nome della famiglia (o delle famiglie), alla quale ha apartenuto il motto
"CUM INGENIO". Lo stemma, di marmore e da collocare stilisticamente
nell'Italia del nord verso 1500, e partito: nel primo a tre bande, nel
secondo alla torre murata. Cimiero: testa e collo di drago. Di sopra una
mano, accompagnata di un cartiglio con il motto sopracitato. Finora non ho
potuto trovare questo motto, neanche nei libri specializzati sui motti ed
imprese come il Gelli, il Dallari o il Padiglione.
Sarei molto grata per qualsiasi indicazione!
