Position: Historic Buildings, Sites and Monuments Product Manager
The successful applicant is likely to have:
Experience of Archaeological and/or Historic Building Data Management with
strong database skills (MS Access). Be self motivated, focused, presentable
and hold a current driving licence.
Useful Skills
Experience of the HBSMR product / Access 97 Databases
SQL Server
MapInfo and/or ArcView desktop mapping/Geographic Information System skills
Interest and background in Countryside Management

Pre sales client support
Existing client product support
Data processing using Microsoft Access
Product installation & Map setup using MapInfo / ArcView on client site.
Devising and presenting different levels of HBSMR training courses.
Updating relevant sections of the Web Site, manuals and newsletters
You will be responsible for day to day product management along with input
into future product direction. Dealing directly with an increasing client
user base, providing a migration service for digital text (into Access) and
map objects, (MapInfo/ArcView) and helping with the customization of
advanced queries and reports.
Client support by telephone, email, site visits, conferences/shows and user
group meetings.
You will be working in a team of Database and GIS Consultants, software
developers and Product specialists who focus on Countryside and Coastal Zone
Management.
The post is for a full time position with a salary package in the range
£16,000-£25,000 plus bonus

The successful applicant will have proven programming skills in at least one
of the following: Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Java, ASP/VB
Script/HTML/DHTML

You will be working in a team of developers and consultants, maintaining and
supporting existing products and developing new applications for
environmental data management, field survey and the web.

plus bonus
