Business Course Directory Goes Online
Students wanting to study Business and Management in Higher Education
can now gain access to a host of helpful information through a newly
launched online course directory.
The Association of Business Schools and Biz/ed have joined forces to
launch the new ABC Directory of UK Business & Management Courses, which
contains details of the whole range of courses - from HND through to
PhD.
The innovative new directory replaces two bound versions of
undergraduate and postgraduate directories produced by the ABS until
last year.
Business and Management qualifications are the most popular in the UK -
and the new directory is aimed at potential students wishing to join
the 250,000 already studying Business and Management.
The ABC Directory can be found at www.abs.bized.ac.uk
The Association of Business Schools is the national representative body
in the UK and its members are the leading 100 business schools of
universities, higher education institutions and independent management
centres. Its aim is to promote the study and effectiveness of Business
and Management to help improve the quality and effectiveness of
managers in the UK and internationally.
Says the ABS Chief Executive, Jonathan Slack: "The book versions of our
course directory have been immensely popular over the years, but it is
clear that more and more potential students expect to gather their
information via the internet. In responding to this need, we are
confident that the new online directory will become an increasingly
valuable resource for students."
Biz/ed is based at the Institute for Learning and Research Technology
at the University of Bristol. Biz/ed is a unique online business and
economics service for students, teachers and lecturers. The Biz/ed
website now regularly receives more than one million page accesses
every month and is highly valued by the educational community.
Says Andy Beharrell, Research and Development Officer of Biz/ed: "Given
the immense popularity of Business & Management courses, we are certain
that the new ABC Directory will become a valuable and valued part of
our service. This new resource will be particularly useful for those
considering studying either an undergraduate or postgraduate course."
