Dear Colleagues,
One of our information partners has a database-driven site such that certain
fields are used both for resource text and metadata content. This is sensible,
but is causing our harvester problems because sometimes the metadata content
includes HTML font codes, eg
<META Name="DC.Description" Content="<i>Listeria </i> bacteria are widely found
in dust, soil, water, plants, sewage and animal droppings.">
If we override the harvester and accept the content as provided, then the HTML
font codes appear to work when someone does a search on HealthInsite and gets
search results with titles and descriptions.
Has anyone dealt with this problem before? Should we allow font codes within
metadata content or forbid them?
Regards, Prue
