Here's an article that describes one places rehab - I suspect most of us do
similar thigs as in-patients. here in Leicester, England, we now try and see
most of our patients as out patients giving them a course of hydrotherapy -
which is excellent for hips, and then gym work. More and more patients are
in the younger (r younger at heart) age range and want more than pain
relieve from their op. Our patients love the groups - it means alot of them
meet up again a few weeks after their ops etc also. Hopefully we will try
and do an RCT next year to quantify its benefits.
