SCCD
supporting people who support communities
The Standing Conference for Community Development is a national
membership organisation for community development. We are looking for
an:
Information Project Officer
(Full time -37 hours per week)
Salary: £20,967-£23,259 scp 32-36
This is an exciting time for community development with many government
programmes recognising that, if they are to succeed, the involvement of
communities is essential.
SCCD believes that knowledge and experience of community development
practice should be shared. It is only by doing this that equitable,
relevant and sustainable change can be achieved with communities. We are
therefore developing a new project to enable community development
practitioners, researchers and policy makers to network and share
information and experience, primarily by use of a web site. The project
will run until March 2004 with support from The Active Community Unit at
the Home Office.
If you share our commitment to equality, have excellent IT and
communication skills and experience of working with communities then we
would like to hear from you.
