RESEARCHER (ESRC - HR PROJECT)

£16,209 - £24,731 per annum
Fixed term for 18 months
A Researcher is required for an 18 month fixed term contract to
undertake the day to day conduct, including fieldwork and data
analysis, of a research project funded by the Economic and Social
Research Council and entitled 'Dependency, Responsibility and
Rights'. The project will investigate the extent to which emergent
discourses of Human Rights may change the ways in which social
security provision for working age people and social care provision
for elderly people are envisaged by policy makers, welfare
professionals and members of the public.
Applicants will:
* Hold an honours and/or Masters degree in Social Policy or similar
subject;
* Have a rigorous knowledge of research methods;
* Have experience of social research, including in-depth
interviewing;
* Have experience of qualitative discourse analysis;
* Display a keen interest in and a wide knowledge of current Social
Policy developments.
