In Carrie Kipling's will of 1938, an annuity is left to a Florence Mary
Thompson. I think this is no relation of Sylvie Thompson, an early
governess, but can anyone identify the annuitant for me?
And have you an exact date for Carrie's death in 1939?
Her will seems to leave the literary estate in trust to provide a life
interest to Elsie Bambridge. Yet by 1976, Elsie's death, Elsie is able to
leave the literary rights to the National Trust. Does anyone know what
arrangement occcured inbetween to make this possible? Has anyone a copy in
full of Elsie's will?
Many thanks, Jeffery
