Sorry for Cross-Postings!
I am producing my dissertation, a hypertext, as a "web". I would like to
graphically-map out the various links between the textual sections
(classically known as chapters, sections & sub-sections). Eventhough the
reader will be provided with a site map, I am looking for tools that could
visually represent the various hyperlinks between the sections and can
update the "graphic-map" of the hyperlinks when I change the links or
move/add more sections. Since I have too many links it is getting tough to
manually re-create the visual representation.
For instance Dreamweaver produces a graphic image of the site map but it is
hierarchical and is in relationship to the homepage. I am looking for a
similar tool that will produce a non-hierarchical graphic image & is
bi/multi-directional (rather than linear). And the hypertext
writer-StorySpace has some of these features. But I am looking for some
other softwares.
I think that there are various concept mapping tools that might be modified
for this purpose. Ideas? Any and all suggestion are welcome. Please ask me
to clarify my ideas if its unclear.
Thanks a ton!
