Dear paul and others
I have today called the school,
The teacher was unavailable but I have left a message saying I was
withholding her homework and a letter was in the post explaining why and on
no account was he to discuss this with her.
I do know that her class are very sad and grieving for a very well loved boy
who left to go to boarding school.
In the letter I asked what the aims on objectives were, what support was in
place for a potentially emotional response, how was it going to be contained.
Was he of the opinion that children of this age and level of
emotional/pschologicall development should really be looking at the final
stages of their life. and if the work was intended for classroom display. If
it was what permission was sought by the children and also by the parents of
whom a lot of the work is about, not to mention siblings and other family
members.
Boy am I angry! well someone had to shop Dr Shipman, this is alarming for me
too.
Anxiety does not allow children to learn, surly that's why we have defence
mechanisms to defend against this. reward's were offered for imaginative
work!!!!!!
Thanks again for your support and encouragement will keep you posted
