The Journal of Sustainable Product Design
Research Network Section
Call for contributions
The JSPD is currently looking forward to receive contributions to be
included in the SPDRN section of the journal aiming at providing
information
that will enhance networking across research initiatives in sustainable
product design. This section provides a forum for researchers that are on
the lookout for certain information or contacts, or that are offering
collaboration opportunities.
Contributions that will be considered for publication are in the form of
concise descriptions (100-300 words) of research projects (masters, PhD,
post-doctoral, national or EU funded, industrial). These can be projects
that are either:
· about to be initiated and that are searching for collaboration with other
parties (academic or industrial),
· already ongoing and are searching for additional input, information,
expansion, or opportunities for implementation testing, etc,
· recently finished and from which results can be disseminated to
interested
readers.
All contributions should include:
- A concise description of the name and the aim of the project
- Requests or offers for collaboration or information as applicable
- Clear contact information
Submissions for contributions can be sent, faxed or e-mailed to:

The Centre for Sustainable Design (www.cfsd.org.uk/journal) has formed an
innovative partnership with Kluwer Academic Publishers (KAP) in the
Netherlands to develop the Journal of Sustainable Product Design. JSPD
launched in 1997 covers economic, environmental, ethical and social
considerations in product development and design and provides a platform
for
organisations and individuals to discuss and explore new solutions although
not ignoring the complex issues surrounding sustainability. JSPD's
international focus enables business decision-makers and academics to
monitor trends as they appear and develop on a global scale, from managing
eco-design, life cycle assessment and 'design for dismantling' to
eco-innovation, 'product service systems' and dematerialisation. JSPD
balances practical issues as they affect us today, as well as exploring new
ideas and thinking with examples drawn from both 'the North' and 'the
South'. JSPD aims to be the focus for a new vision for product and service
development and design that integrates eco-efficiency with social
responsibility in the delivery of sustainable solutions.
