Dear All
My comments about the new portal have stirred up some confusion and
worried responses. And having tested further I am also now worried and
confused!
I carried out a seach for an OJ issue of 1998, got through to the
Contents page of the OJ and clicked the page link for the pdf text.
This brought up a page which had three options. Authorised users could
have access to the document; it could be found on the OJ CD ROM or on
the Eur-Lex portal. I tried option 1, used my CELEX username and
password and retrieved the document. However this process has not
worked successfully with other examples I have tried since then.
As far as who is an authorised user goes, the registration information
on the site says that anyone can register free of charge and if you
already have a username for eg RAPID or CELEX that will be valid.
However I am now suspicious about whether this is current information
or is an old page carried over from Eur-Lex.
Anyone able to clarify further?
