Well we now have a better understanding of the level required.
The papers, in my view were fair but hard. Initial thoughts:
* much nearer to A level than GCSE - I regret pulling some punches in
teaching the course in the mistaken view that the standard was half way
between GCSE & A level
* candidates will need to have a very good grasp of theory to score well on
the 'big score' questions
* weak candidates will not know what hit them...
Ah well. No complaints, except a wry self acknowledgement that Economics
remains a one of the most challenging subject choices for sixth formers.
I shall be very wary of accepting anyone with less than a B in Maths on the
course - for their own sake.
I await the biz OCR A level with trepidation...
