This bright new look is as a result of your valuable feedback, I hope you

DESCRIPTION:-

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to
undertake a pivotal role in play development throughout North Lincolnshire.

A key objective will be to work with sections of the community who, evidence
shows, are currently under-represented when it comes to taking up play
opportunities.

You will co-ordinate the delivery of the Council's school holiday programme
and work in partnership with voluntary, statutory and private play providers
to increase self-sustaining play opportunities.

You should have previous experience in play development. A relevant degree
will be an advantage. You should be able to work on your own initiative,
manage and supervise staff, have good organisational, planning and
promotional skills and combined with good communication and interpersonal
skills. A flexible approach to working is also required.

Rumpus Playscheme Team Leader and 3 Rumpus Playworkers

Three enthusiastic and highly motivated Playworkers and one team leader are
required to work on the highly acclaimed and successful Rumpus mobile summer
holiday playscheme at various locations throughout the East Riding of
Yorkshire. The scheme provides for children aged 5-14 years at a variety of
rural locations throughout the East Riding. You will work as part of a team
providing a range of exciting, imaginative and child centred play
activities. You will need some playwork or sports leadership experience
within the target age range and/or will have undertaken some relevant
training. A specialist skill such as organising/running play sessions,
sports activities, arts and crafts, co-operative games, music, dance or
circus skills would be an advantage. A First Aid Certificate and a clean
driving licence are desirable. In addition to the above skills and
experience you will have the ability to lead and motivate the team to ensure
a successful and enjoyable playscheme. The Team Leader post will involve up
to ten hours work prior to the start of the scheme in order to check venues,
organise resources and plan activities. Previous experience in team
leadership in a children's environment would be an advantage. Additional
staff will be asked to provide cover on a rota basis. All posts will be
subject to police clearance. The Playscheme Team Leader is required from
23.7.01 - 7.9.01 for up to 27 hours per week and the Playworkers are
required from 30.7.01-7.9.01 for up to 25 hours per week.
