Dear People,
I've been doing a completely absorbing and fascinating essay on Intersexuality (Hermaphroditism), Disability, Agricultural & Industry Pesticides. It was like a detective story - following lead after lead.
What I learned about chemicals is S-C-A-R-Y. What modern scientists who study the endocrine system - ie. the brain, pituitary gland, hypothalamus, adrenal glands, pancreas, and liver and its effects on the nervous system is most interesting.
What these guys are saying, I gather, is that researchers up to now have been looking at large concentrations of chemicals - whereas it is the tiny amounts (IN CONJUNC-TION WITH other tiny amounts of other chemicals, perhaps) that cause a tremendous amount of genetic "mayhem".
I first looked up all I could on Intersexuals - couldn't find what I wanted. So I sent out an SOS on all my Disability e-lists and was told to search for the words "Social Ecology". From there I got onto the "World Wildlife Fund, Canada", which took me to the "Natural Resources Defence Council" in the USA, which in turn led me to the scientists Vom Saal and Krimsky. Krimsky's work was only published last year!
If anybody wants to read my essay (and/or 100 pages of downloaded stuff - 60 on Intersexuals and about 40 on pesticides & the endocrine system) I'll gladly send it to you. If any of you want to persuade people to vote for minor political parties like the Greens, Socialists or Independants (or vote at all !), it may help to persuade people...
I don't know whether you will receive this message. I always like to hear that my message has been received, having heard horror stories. So if you would confirm this, I would be most grateful. Just "Thanks" in the subject line would do until you get the time to answer more fully if you feel it is necessarry/wish to...
Jai Guru Dev; Yours Sincerely,
"Sundari [pronounced Soon-{like lun in lunatic}-DHE-ree" (my e-mail name)].
