I thought the list might be interested in the attached headline which
appeared in our evening paper last night. There was a superb technicolor
pic of the A & E specialist looking into an X-ray viewer. I'm sorry but
his picture has gone from the web page, but he looked very impressive. If
you search archives you might get the picture. I have pasted the article.
Many of you will know the hospital as well as the consultant. I would agree
with most of what he says. However the point I would not agree with is PFI
if he thinks things will be better he is wrong PFI will bring less beds.
I do ask myself where are our leaders in the speciality. Most of us in
front line A & E work know that things have been intolerable for the past 6
months. I ask myself where is our leadership why are they not up there on
the news, pressing the message home? Why does it take a very brave
individual on his own too stand up and be counted.
