Stephen's recollection is not so vague, a similar question was
posted and answered in February of last year. And how do I know
that? Cue snappy jingle to advertise the Geo-tectonics archives.
If you visit
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/geo-tectonics.html
you'll find the archive of all postings to the list since September
1998. A reasonably efficient search engine is available on a link
from that page, making it easy to find relevant material.
Cheers
John
