Eye Movements and Visual Cognition Postdoc
A post-doctoral position in eye movements and visual cognition is available
in the Eye Movement Laboratory, Department of Psychology and Cognitive
Science Program, Michigan State University. Current topics of investigation
include gaze control in scene recognition, face recognition, visual search,
visual memory, reading, and visually-guided navigation. Candidates
interested in these or related topics are especially encouraged to apply.
Candidates need not have experience with eyetracking, but should have an
interest in applying eyetracking methodology to issues in visual cognition.
Eyetracking facilities in the lab include a dual-Purkinje-image eyetracker,
an ISCAN video-based eyetracker, and an ASL head-mounted portable
eyetracker. The dual-Purkinje-image eyetracker is interfaced with a
graphics system that allows for gaze-contingent display changes of complex

The position is available immediately and the start date is flexible.
Applicants must have completed the doctoral degree prior to taking the
position. Salary will be based on NIH post-doctoral rates and commensurate
with experience. The position is renewable for a second year. Inquiries can
