Hello everyone
Several Eurotalk members have asked me if they can receive Eurotalk
messages in a 'digest' format. In other words, all the previous day's
messages are sent to you in one batch the first time you log on.
The advantage of this is that you're not interrupted by messages
throughout the day. The disadvantage is that you lose the 'immediacy'
of the service and the ability to reply to messages the same day.
If you'd like to receive messages in a digest format, send a message to
[log in to unmask] (note - NOT [log in to unmask]) with the
following in the text of the message:
set eurotalk digest
--
(the two dashes on the second line instruct the system to ignore any
text which appears after them - eg your signature).
To stop receiving your messages in a digest format, send the following
message to [log in to unmask]
set eurotalk nodigest
--
There's a summary of all the commands you can use to set different
options for Eurotalk at:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/user-manual/summary-user-commands.htm
If you've got any questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact
me.
Best wishes
Catherine
