The Australian Human Rights & Equal Opportunity Commission has just released its
report
"Sterilisation of Girls and Young Women with a Disability" By Susan Brady, John
Britton and Sonia Grover. It reviews statistical and anecdotal evidence of unlawful
sterilisation and supports available to girls young women and their parents for
menstrual management and fertility issues. The report argues for bettr ways to ensure
the better protection of the rights of girls and young women; for less adversarial legal
processes and education programs.
