Fellow researchers:
In order to facilitate searches for book chapters, working papers,
conference papers and other types of publications not commonly indexed, a
few colleagues and I have put together a researcher-controlled, online
database that allows you to enter in the details of any publications you
might want others to know about and to control the search terms by which
they are brought up. In effect, it allows you to put your entire CV online,
should you so desire. It also provides for the possiblility of
creating "bulletin boards" on any topics worthy of discussion, as well as a
few other functions such as various statistics and the ability to link
references, etc. It's very much a work in progress and, thus, we would
really appreciate any comments or suggestions you might have to offer.
If any of you are interested, you can find it at www.getCITED.org. The
database already has over 3,000,000 publications and 300,000 identities in
it so don't be surprised if some of your publications and your identity
already exist. In any case, if you find the sight useful, we would very
much appreciate you letting other researchers know about it.
Many thanks in advance...
Michael K. Mauws, Ph.D.
