National Post 18 mai 2001 Fewer than one in four doctors wash their hands
and wear gloves when they examine patients during their rounds at a
hospital of the McGill University Health Center, an internal study has
found. The study's author warns the situation is no different in hospitals
across Canada "it's really a universal phenomenone of all health care
facilities", Said Dr Vivian Loo. Nurses fare only slightly better in the
study, with only 40% taking hygienic precautions when caring for patients.
