Just wondering, after I heard that the world's favourite environmental
activist has decided that the Kyoto agreement had to be rejected
because it wasn't strong enough in its terms for reducing the
world's carbon emissions, has 'Dubya' actually visited New York?
Yes, he may have been to the posh bits on Manhattan Island, but
what about the less posh bits towards JFK airport or Brighton
Beach for instance. Perhaps he didnt look at the atlas closely
enough and thought N Y was in Canada or something? Because I'd
be happy to show him the bits i saw last year (given suitable 1st
class travel and accomodation of course!) - the bits that are rather
close to sea level as it is now, never mind what sea level may be in
a few decades time. And when the hurricane belt moves
northwards to cover N Y, I'm sure the tourists 1,000 feet up in the
Empire State Building will enjoy the swaying sound and light show.
Or does he have secret plans to move JFK airport several miles
inland? That would cost rather a lot, as would rehousing all those
lower income households in eastern N Y city, never mind those in
lower parts of Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans, etc etc. .....Oh
damn! Bang goes my dreams of a 1st class expenses paid
holiday to N Y......of course,... lower income households! They
were among the 50.0001% of voters who didn't vote for Dubya,
weren't they. Still if Florida ends up underwater it will no doubt
greatly simplify the Americal electoral system.
No more dodgy pregnant chads...Glug, Glug, Glug..........
