Aims:
To review practical advances in finding, capturing, processing,
distributing and using knowledge for the benefit of clinicians and
patients.
To bring together professionals from the clinical, library, computer,
cognitive and information sciences, medical informatics and
information retrieval disciplines to share techniques and insights.
To introduce newcomers and survey the state-of-the-art in knowledge
management applied to health
Programme will include:
* John Fox: Publets: Clinical Judgement On The Web ?
* Lesley Glassington : The Library & Information Support for Clinical
Effectiveness (LISCE) project - eight months on
* Dianne Ayres: The NSW Clinical Information Access Program: Using the
Web to Promote an Evidence Based Information Culture
* Christos Bountis, Dave Nurse, Jonathan D S Kay: Implementation of a
Clinical Intranet combining Knowledge Management and components of the
Computerised Patient Record.
* Christine Urquhart : Experiences gained on the VIVOS (Value and
Impact of Virtual Outreach Services) project
* Sally Hernando: Evaluating SWICE (South West Information for
Clinical Effectiveness): are we being radical enough?
