FEMINIST METHODOLOGIES
(Sponsored by Women and Geography Study Group)
This session will consider how methodological inquiry in Geography has
been, and will be, impacted by feminist thought. Our aim is to bring
together diverse perspectives on the ways in which feminist methodologies
are framed and put into practice. At this stage we do not wish to exclude
any area, but are particularly interested in feminist methodologies
currently used in researching/writing on: masculinity; nature; the body;
the economy; development/anti-development; cybergeographies; and scale.
The session, we hope, will provide a platform from which a discussion on
the future direction of feminist methodologies can emerge.
