The only book I've seen like that is on longitudinal methods specific to
studying organizational change:
Huber, G.P., & Van de Ven, A.H. (1995). "Longitudinal field research
methods: studying processes of organizational change." Thousand Oaks, CA:
Sage Publications.
ISBN 0-8039-7090-0 / 0-8039-7091-9 pbk
It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but it is an edited
collection of 11 chapters by various authors (from the management, business,
or communications disciplines except for one sociologist [Andrew Abbott, U
Chicago]), mostly about case studies in organization science.
