I need help fairly urgently.
Does anyone have any idea of any sources for materials / activities/ role
plays etc that would be suitable for developing learner support skills in
conventional face-to-face trainers, and also any material that will help
them develop learner support / mentoring / peer group menoring and self help
group guidance skills in others as well?
I am involved in a LEONARDO project developing client-centred skills in
travel agency staff and the structure for the joint Romanian - Greek -
Spanish - British project demands that most of the training will take place
in Romania using agency managers as agents for change. These managers will
be trained by the above-mentioned trainers and they will then be expected to
introduce specially written open/flexible learning material on customer care
material to their front-line staff. These staff will in turn work through
the material and be monitored by their managers who also will be expected to
provide some sort of basic learner support. The mamagers will also obvously
need support from the trainers at he top of the chain and this rather
complex process will be one of the main subject areas to be dealt with in a
special three-day workshop for the main (top level) trainers.
It is obviously material and ideas for the support section of this workshop
that I am seeking so any ideas would be welcome -- and the sooner the better
as the workshop is die to take place at the begiining of May in Athens.
Luckily it will be conducted in English though as this is the language of
the project :-)
TIA
Celia
