The Division on Middle English Language and Literature, Excluding Chaucer is
sponsoring a session at the 2001 meeting of the MLA (to be held in New
Orleans, LA December 27-30, 2001) on Monasticism and Medieval English Writing.
Papers are welcome exploring the interimplication of monastic institutions
with the production, publication/dissemination, and development of medieval
English writing.
Please send 1-2 page abstracts (e-mail is fine) by March 10 to Nancy Bradley
