Hello, a couple of new Web mapping services that have just come to my
attention.

* Miner3D (http://miner3d.com/) provides a 3D interface to results from
major search engines. The interface comprises a very simple tiling of
blocks to represent individual matches returned from the search engine.
(Thanks to Michiel Berger for the original pointer.)
* Urbanpixel have a beta version of their ActiveMarket technology online.
This provides a directory of the top 10,000 websites mapped onto a
hypothetical street map, where individual sites are buildings. Overview
maps at scales of the whole city and local neighbourhood are provided for
navigation. I think it is supposed to be multi-user so you can see and
chat to other people who are searching the map, although this feature did
not seem to work for me.
