This conference, which will take place while Sweden has the presidency of EU,
will take as its starting point the current situation in Europe.
For three days representatives of the European cultural heritage will
gather to discuss the democratic aspects of the cultural heritage left by
industrial societies. The main themes are: "Identity", "Democracy" and
"Cultural force". In each session there will be a combination of
theoretical discussion and practical examples. The aim of the conference is
to link the conference to the European Council's work in this area.
