Following a reorganisation of European Commission services, SCAD is no
longer being updated from 1 March 2001.
The Commission's Central Library has taken over responsibility for articles
from periodicals and these are now being indexed in the ECLAS database.
Sources, subjects and language cover will remain unchanged for the moment.
It is planned to transfer the contents of SCAD's sector C to ECLAS so that
all articles can be found in the same database, although this will probably
take some months. In the meantime, links are being created from the Central
Library's homepage to SCAD and vice versa. The database will remain
available at least until the end of this transfer.
Responsibility for the other sectors of SCAD, as well as SCADPlus, has been
transferred to the Commission's Press and Communication Service.
We hope that these changes will allow us to offer you a better service with
easier access to articles from periodicals.
