Call for papers
The state-of-art program visualization environments aim at providing their
users with tools to form a deeper understanding on programs. The target
group for visualization environments is heterogeneous: for example,
professionals and students of Computer Science education, software
engineering, and algorithm research. A special issue of the Journal of
Visual Languages and Computing will focus on the promising and insightful
approaches for designing efficient program visualization environments.
Papers should address research questions in the area, including but not
limited to the following topics:
Visualization methods
Visualization taxonomies
Algorithm animation
Cognitive psychological issues
Visualization in distance work and education
Application of program visualization techniques in other fields
Evaluation methods and criteria of visualization environments
Paper preparation guidelines can be found in any issue of the journal. For
