2 Year Post-Doctoral Research Position
Center for Tele-Information
COM, Technical University of Denmark
A two year post-doctoral position is available at the Center for
Tele-Information within the area of metadata computing and human-computer
interaction. The position is attached to SPATION, a new EU project which
will begin in late spring 2001. The position will involve research in user
interface design and visualization of metadata
stores in home networks. Applicants with a background in human-computer
interaction, computer science and an interest in semantic web issues are
urged to apply.
About Spation:
SPATION (Services Platforms and Applications for Transparent Information
management in an in-hOme Network) is an EU project funded under IST Domain
IV/Action Line 6.2 - Essential Technologies and Infrastructures/User and
service interfaces and buffers to seamless end-to-end services. The
consortium is led by Philips Electronics with partners TOMORROW Internet
AG, University of Brescia, Technical University of Denmark and Eurocom. The
objective of the project is to find solutions to the problem of how to
move, organize and retrieve information and media in heterogeneous home
systems.
About CTI:
The Center for Tele-Information is an externally funded inter-disciplinary
center which performs teaching and research within the areas of telecom and
Internet regulation and markets, multimedia services and applications and
computer supported cooperative work and its implications on organizations.
CTI employs 28 staff members including 8 Ph.D. students and is part of the
COM center at DTU.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. The salary depends on seniority as agreed
between the Danish Ministry of Finance and Confederation of Professional
Unions.
Applications should include a CV, description of scientific interests and
copies of relevant publications. The application deadline is March 31, 2001.
