I don't know whether people have been following the dotforce story..
but June S. attended the meeting on 22 Feb.. I couldn't as I was at a
BCS meeting working on the code of conduct.. arguable which one I
should have been at :)
Given input to the consultation process for the globalisation and
development white paper, and what has come out, and that IFIP, IFLA,
UNESCO etc. are all part of the process, I think that both IDF and its
constituent groups, BCS, LA etc need to have a meeting which considers
the white paper and the report on dotforce and decides what we do as
prof socs.. eadi groups in other parts of europe might want to do
likewise and have a more general report session and discussion in September?

and I think we need to meet before this..
as chair of the BCS DCSG I am prepared to host the meeting, and have
already discussed with Paul Sturgess of ILGA..
people will need to have read I fear the white paper ;(
