italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear Marian,
thank you for your reply in this regard. Given the nature of our list, I
would like to suggest that we consider it essential that everything sent to
it be focussed on Italian studies. If a member should feel it truly
necessary to post a message about an issue such as the one raised yesterday,
that person really should do so from an *Italian* context. Posting something
about the Church based solely on an American viewpoint does not fit into
this necessarily strict guideline.
It is also a good idea, if ever one should pass along a news item, to
briefly introduce its relevance to the list. And if anyone should be in the
slightest doubt about anything concerning the list, please do contact me or
Otfried directly before posting to our colleagues.
Best wishes,
George Ferzoco
