Vandana Shiva, Eco-feminist writer and activist, author of
Staying Alive: Women, Ecology and Development
Anita Roddick OBE, Founder and Co-Chair of Body Shop

Other invited plenary speakers include:
George Soros, International Financier, and Clare Short, UK Minister for
International Development.
Speakers from Halifax plc, Amnesty International, the UN Economic
Council for Africa, British Universities, and community activists from
India, South Africa, Canada and Eastern Europe will lead workshop
discussions. Follow-up workshops will be organised separately from 21-
23 September 2001.
