Dear Colleagues,
At the coming September Kipling Conference, we have a session on
Kipling in translation. Several interesting papers have been offered, on
tranlation to the Arabaic, Japanese, French, etc. What is missing at
present is any reference to translation to Russian. We would particularly
like IF in Russian
Is there any member of the mailbase who might contribute, provide examples?
I do remeber a visitor to mMaalene pre-Berlin Wall days, becoming "quite
definite" on College Maderira and breaking out into Rolling Down to Rio in
Russian. High Table is not lilely to forget the occasion either.
Any offers?
