A one day teaching seminar, for professionals wishing to inform their
work with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorder.

COURSE TOPICS
This seminar for psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists,
counsellors, nurses, and all health
professionals and teachers provides a unique opportunity to acquire a
firm understanding of eating disorders at the "ground level",
incorporating the latest research findings and focusing on the

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
The speakers between them have over fifteen years of experience in
the treatment and research of severe child, adolescent, and adult
onset eating disorders, working both individually and as part of a
multidisciplinary team. Marc Neiderman is the author of several
presentations and publications dealing particularly with the issues
of "forced feeding" and prognosis and outcome in children and
adolescents with eating disorders. Lucy Serpell has recently
completed her PhD on the maintenance of anorexia nervosa. Her
research interests include treatment resistance and cognitive
approaches to eating disorders.
ABOUT THE DAY
The day will consist of lectures, guided discussions and interactive
exercises. The seminar is limited to 20 participants to maintain an
informal and friendly atmosphere. An information pack with
suggestions for further reading and a certificate of attendance will
be provided.
