Dear All,
The Joint Information Systems Committee together with the Publishers'
Association is currently funding the PELICAN (Pricing Expeuiment Library
Information Cooperative Network) project at Loughboroigh University,
Department of Information Science that seeks to develop a pricing
mechanism
for providing digitised materials to HEIs. The development of a suitable
pricing mechanism, satisfying ALL stakeholders in HE and FE, is a pressing
and immediate task, that could provide the foundation for a holistic
distribution model of academic literature in digitised form. At this stage
of the project, we are looking for academics and library staff in the UK
that would be willing to share their personal views and experience with
the
distribution of academic literature in digitised form. We will
guarantethat all interviewees rill remain anonymfus in our final report.tw
Since the library of the future will make increasing use of digitised
materials, please do not hestitate to actively form its underlying
economic
model and get in touch with us today!
More information about PELICAN can be found on our website

We are looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Kind regards,
Iris
