For what it's worth, the word 'mobbing' is used in Norwegian in roughly the
same sense as in Italian. Most often it used of a group of children or
youths 'picking on', teasing or physically assaulting, an unfortunate peer.
I think it is a relatively new word in Norwegian. I can't remember if it
was used when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, but I have a feeling
that it is sort of a "70s" word.
