MA Cultural Geography (Research): 2 fully-funded ESRC studentships
Provides a broad research training in social and cultural geography,

Fully-funded ESRC PhD studentship
The role of law and legal systems in securing inclusive environments for
disabled people
This three-year PhD project is in collaboration with the Centre for
Accessible Environments and Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors. The
studentship will include payment of fees, an annual ESRC maintenance grant
of £9250, and additional financial support from RICS and CAE.

Fully-funded 'Thomas Holloway' PhD studentship
Public response to, and perception of, coastal defence initiatives
This three-year PhD project will investigate the links between current
shifts in coastal engineering practice from hard to soft engineering
solutions, and the public perception of the security and value of such
schemes.

MSc Quaternary Science (NERC-recognised): 8 fully-funded studentships
Centre for Quaternary Research, Department of Geography, Royal Holloway and
Environmental Change Research Centre, Department of Geography, University
College London.
The NERC has recently extended their recognition of the MSc Quaternary
Science by allocating eight fully-funded studentships per year from
2001-2002.

These are available for study in any field of geography and provide fees at
the home/EU rate plus a bursary of £1000 per annum
3 College Masters studentships
A masters studentship (paying fees at the home/EU rate plus a £500 bursary)
is available for each of our masters degrees: MSc Quaternary Science and MA
