Yesterday, I sent an announcement about this photo exhibit: International
Center of Photography, 1133 Avenue of Americas
"Perfecting Mankind: Eugenics and Photography" (P.S. According to
someone I finally got on the phone today, the exhibit IS there - The uptown
branch of ICP was giving out wrong info about what the downtown branch is
doing).
Today, I saw a notice of a play also in NYC that seems a perfect
match to the exhibit.
Race by Ferdinand Bruckner
DEscription from the flyer: On the eve of the Nazis' election a
group of medical students faces a future in which everything will change.
This remarkable and affecting play was written by a leading Austrian-jewish
playwright in the summer of 1933, just months after the events it portrays.
The coming catastrophe resonates eerily in every word.

I am thinking - this just aint coincidence. That maybe the moment is ripe
for us.
Yet I am cautious as I dont know to what extent (if any) disabled people's
voices are heard in these reenactments of our history.
Puhleese dont contact me for details - I know nothing more than what I'm
sending!!!!!! Simi
