Sorry to be so low level, but I was wondering if you might offer a example
of such a dialog?
Would it be like in Z39.50, a record syntax (SUTRS, MARC, GRS-1) is
negotiated upon initial handshake (and if there isn't a common syntax
accepted by both agents the session is dropped).
Sorry to use a Z39.50 reference, but didn't know how else to express myself.
