Hi Rachel/Simon
Interesting (with the exception of First Monday - that is excellent and the special issue of the IJHCS) that most of the journals are either very old, seem rather unprofessional or not available online.
The growth of CMC doesn't seem to have created a lot of accessible online communication?
In terms of virtual representation in Virtual Environments you might want to look at the work of the Sociable Media group at MIT
http://smg.www.media.mit.edu/
and GroupLab Projects at the university of Calgary

cheers,

One of the projects I'm currently working on is establishing an online community to share C&IT skills - the Virtual Learning Space. I've been thinking about including a section within the resources dedicated to online journals of this nature. Perhaps you'd like to take a look (http://itlearningspace-scot.ac.uk/) and add some journals or review those that we put up in the next few weeks?
