Third International Workshop on Internationalisation of Products and
Systems (IWIPS2001)
Designing for Global Markets
12-14 July 2001, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK
REMINDER - CALL FOR PAPERS
The convergence between telecommunications, information technology and more
conventional electronic products such as radio/TV present a major
opportunity for the development of international products. The IWIPS
workshop series aims to promote awareness of the problems facing
international industry. The IWIPS workshop series aims to promote
awareness in the scientific community of the problems facing international
industry and their implications for research and development. This workshop
provides a venue for meetings, discussion of results and cooperation at an
international level for those involved in the development of products and
systems for multi- and cross-cultural use.

Submissions
We invite submissions on, but not limited to, the following topics:
Frameworks and methodologies for International product development
Information presentation and social interaction.
User Interface Internationalisation.
Web Internationalisation.
Theory, methods and assessment techniques for product and system evaluation.
Process models and methods of development.
Case Studies - Experience of developing and applying internationalisation
and localisation in industry.
Skills and Support tools for globalisation development
Policies, Strategies and Trends in Globalisation and Design.
Intercultural Issues in design.
Position papers should describe the problem addressed and the nature of the
contribution (e.g. theory, method, exemplars, tool, experience).
Deadlines
All submissions will be electronic. They are to be sent in .RTF format,
zipped, as attachments to e-mail, addressed to Donald Day ([log in to unmask]),
with the subject line "IWIPS2001 Submission".
Papers should be transmitted no later than 1 February 2001.
